Flourishing Your Mind

In 2015, I had just graduated from design school and I could not find a job. So I started making clothes for my friends and my cousins, without any plan of building a brand. I dreamed of working for a recognized fashion house. Life had other plans. The friends of my friends began asking for my designs, and that is how La Bloom was born.

The name comes from my thesis: the idea of blooming where you are planted. It carries the feminine strength my mother and my friends have always given me. I believe fashion can oppress us, but it can also set us free. Every piece I make carries my childhood, my family, and my search for identity.

For ten years, every La Bloom piece has been designed and produced in our own atelier in Medellin. Small runs. Real hands. Clothes made to live in, not to throw away. It takes a whole army to make this happen, and I could not be more grateful for my team, my friends, and my family.

And now, New York. Our showroom on Nassau Avenue in Brooklyn is where this next chapter lives: come try things on, tell me what you are dressing for, and let us build your closet together, one piece at a time.
